Protemos is integrated with memoQ. That means that you can:
- Create projects in Protemos and copy them to memoQ.
- Create memoQ projects and copy them to Protemos.
- Link and unlink projects between Protemos and memoQ.
- Transfer files between Protemos and memoQ.
- Import CAT logs from memoQ to Protemos.

Why would you need that integration?
If you are using both Protemos and memoQ, you probably have to create the same project in both systems, and enter some common info twice. E.g you’ll need to enter client name, select language pairs, set translation project deadlines, and upload translation files. Integration saves you from this dull copy-pasting work. You may enter a project to Protemos, and copy it to MemoQ. Or you can copy MemoQ project to Protemos.
Why would you need Protemos if you are using MemoQ?
The tools supplement, but not replace each other. memoQ is a tool where the translation itself is done, while Protemos is for managing the business as a whole. They both are using to manage the translation projects, but Protemos goes beyond that. E.g. with Protemos you can:
- Manage non-memoQ and even on non-translation projects, e.g. voiceover and DTP
- Keep the profiles of your clients and suppliers with contacts, prices, agreements etc.
- Track sales and create quotes from some of your clients before you get a real project
- Generate and send invoices your clients and issue POs to your vendors
- Track the payments from your clients and to your vendors
- Have a single database of everything done in your company, easily search the info you need
- Generate business and financial reports to see how your translation business is doing
